I introduce to you some masterpieces I discovered at Arte Espacio by Claudio Roncoli, from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Claudio Roncoli has exhibited his works in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico and the United States. Genius! A clear admirer and brilliant creator of pop art, the artist uses various techniques from that creative era: such as serigraphy, stamping, collage, mixed media on wood and other surfaces. He expertly blends together vintage photos and magazine cut-outs with colourful fonts, textures and geometrical shapes to fashion his series.
As bold and colourful they may be, Roncoli’s paintings give off a sarcastic vibe and clear critique of the consumerism, superficiality and mass emptiness present in our contemporary and corporate society, hypnotized by the media.
The works of art displayed above are pieces from his collage and painting sets “Life” and “Black Life”. You can see more of his creations on Facebook, plus photographs of various installations and information on upcoming exhibitions (the most recent one, which ends tomorrow is at Arte Espacio, as I mentioned before).
